Connect to the Lord, His Word, and others at a Sunday Morning Bible Group

Jesus said the mission of the church is to “make disciples” (Matthew 28:19). In the next verse He said that making disciples would involve “teaching.” I am excited about a new teaching/learning opportunity at Bethany. It’s called the School of Discipleship.

School of Discipleship

I am concerned about what I perceive to be a trend in our culture. There is a decreasing knowledge of the Bible and basic Christian beliefs. So I want everyone at Bethany to have at least a basic knowledge of the books of the Bible and understanding of Christian doctrine. To meet that need we’re offering something called the School of Discipleship. Over the next few years we will offer month-long courses in the New Testament, the Old Testament, Christian Doctrine, Church History, and Spiritual Life. Those courses will be offered occasionally during our Bible Fellowship Group time (9:00 am, Sundays). Please note, our Bible Fellowship Groups will continue. The plan is for a School of Discipleship class to be offered every few months during that time.

The next course will be offered in the Fall. Anyone of any age is welcome to attend any of the School of Discipleship sessions. You don’t need to be part of our current Bible Fellowship Groups to attend.

There is no cost for the classes and you don’t need to register for them.  Just show up and learn.  The School of Discipleship will give you the biblical and theological background you need to become a lifelong learner.  If you ever wished you knew more about the Bible, this is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn and grow..

Bethany's Sunday morning classes are open structured but tend to be divided by age and life stage by processes of natural selection.  Attend anywhere you feel most connected to the Lord, His Word and others.

	50's With children in college and facing life as empty nesters (Faith Builders)
